Learning a new skill – Learning to use Camtasia and Youtube

by Scott on November 18, 2009

In life you are required to learn new skills. Many of us would prefer that we could do like in the movie “The Matrix” The MatrixThey simply call up Tank and he quickly loads a program that instantly gives them the knowledge to use a new tool. In reality, it takes effort, time and education to learn a new skill.

Learning new skills
are very important to keeping our minds sharp and developing viewpoints outside of our traditional framework. I have been working on learning how to use Camtasia and Youtube together to create instructional videos. People learn using different methods. Many learn better using written instructions and visuals. Cookbooks are an excellent example that we are all familiar with. You can also learn how to draw cars like a pro Yet we know that sometimes it is not enough. It is better to be able to watch someone complete the task so we can develop a deeper understanding with the task.

I have uploaded my first video to Youtube using Camtasia. I have to say I need to a lot more work to make them the way I want them to look. The video walks through how to set up a Simpleology account

It is fairly short and spends some time talking about double optins which many people may not be familiar with. I would like to ask a favor though. As I plan to make more of these, can you leave some feedback on

1) videos you would like to see made
2) Things that would improve the video (annotations, speaking louder, tighter focus, etc)

Sincerely

PS Don’t forget to set up a Simpleology account. It is completely free and includes some of the best tools I know for increasing your focus and improving your productivity.
